Warts are a very common skin growths that are caused by a viral infection in the top layer of the skin. They are typically small, about the size of a pencil eraser, but sometimes grow bigger. The can also grow into clusters called mosaic warts. Warts are mildly contagious and can be spread from person to person.


Warts will often go away without treatment eventually. There are also numerous over-the-counter treatments. A doctor can freeze the wart off with liquid nitrogen, or remove it with laser surgery.
